Release Notes

Fixed

  • Fixed a weight calculation bug during order updates.

Fixed

  • Fixed a bug affecting order item retrieval.

Added

  • Added support for setting package weight from predefined package names/weights.

Changed

  • Switched SQL/CSV resource file handling to use local defaults instead of remote Azure file reads.

Added

  • Added ability to trigger shipping automatically on Print, Manifest, or Ship events, with this behavior configurable per customer.

Fixed

  • Fixed order search logic so only correctly manifested orders are returned.

Changed

  • Improved order and shipment task reliability with additional data mapping fixes.

Added

  • Added automatic emailing of PDF invoices on shipment.

Fixed

  • Fixed custom field import logic during setup/configuration.

Fixed

  • Fixed the automated shipment creation/sync task.
  • Fixed the order status check/update sync process.

Added

  • New “Flush Pending Ships” button in the Shipping module. When a Starshipit login seat runs out and Fishbowl is unable to mark a shipment as Shipped, this button counts the stuck shipments and closes them out (marking them Shipped in Fishbowl and clearing the pending flag) without needing an extra Fishbowl login seat.
  • The button now automatically checks and repairs its own background retry schedule on every click, so the flush reliably runs even if the schedule had silently broken.

Fixed

  • Corrected the background schedule’s timing format so it is compatible with Fishbowl’s scheduler (it had been using a syntax Fishbowl couldn’t parse, preventing the automatic retry from ever running).

Fixed

  • Fixed database connection issues on newer Fishbowl server versions: the plugin no longer relies on a hardcoded database port and now sets the correct connection settings for newer database versions, restoring compatibility for customers on updated Fishbowl servers.

Added

  • Package dimensions (length/width/height and unit) can now be entered and are included, along with weight, when requesting shipping rates and services.

Fixed

  • Fixed a display formatting bug in the total weight shown on the Get Rates screen.

Added

  • The shipping line item added to an order now shows the actual carrier/service name instead of a generic “Shipping Charge” label.
  • Added a setting to control whether the sales order is automatically issued after adding a shipping charge.

Fixed

  • Fixed GST being counted twice on the shipping line item.
  • Fixed rate markup being calculated on the GST-adjusted price instead of the base rate, which had inflated marked-up prices.

Added

  • New setting to choose between Starshipit Table Rates or your negotiated Contract Rates when requesting shipping prices.

Fixed

  • Fixed a bug where the wrong weight unit/field was being used for both the on-screen display and the rate request, which could produce inaccurate shipping rates.

Fixed

  • Restored and updated Sales Order dialog logic after a build/compatibility issue, keeping the Get Rates workflow working correctly.

Added

  • The plugin now automatically retries Starshipit operations that fail instead of giving up after a single attempt.

Fixed

  • Compatibility fix for a change in the Starshipit API’s response format.

Changed

  • The settings dialog now closes automatically after saving, and icons were refreshed.

Fixed

  • Fixed a display bug with the ”$” sign on the configuration screen.

Fixed

  • Fixed GST not being correctly included in the shipping charge amount.

Added

  • The plugin now automatically creates a carrier/service record if one is missing, and keeps the order’s carrier/service in sync with the selected rate.

Fixed

  • Fixed carrier/service creation to only match/create active carriers and services, preventing incorrect matches to inactive ones.

Added

  • Added a GST/Tax column to the rates table and applied GST to the shipping line item amount.

Fixed

  • Fixed a URL-encoding issue affecting requests for shipping rates and services.

Fixed

  • Fixed a major bug where incorrect State/City/Suburb data was being sent, which could corrupt shipping rate requests.

Changed

  • Rebranded the Get Rates button with updated logos and a new button name.

Added

  • Selecting a shipping rate now adds a shipping charge line item to the sales order.
  • Added a settings screen (Integration > StarShipIT) with the ability to load and save configuration, including carrier/service, package, and metafield options sent with rate requests.

  • Multiple rounds of UI refinements to the rates table and settings screen.

Fixed

  • Assorted bug fixes to the rates and settings workflow, along with updated icons.

Added

  • Added a live shipping rates comparison table to the Sales Order screen.
