Starshipit + Fishbowl Inventory: Integration (Built by ILC)

Starshipit makes shipping faster and easier by automating key fulfillment tasks like carrier selection, label printing, and customer tracking notifications.

Since Starshipit doesn’t natively connect with Fishbowl Inventory, ILC built this integration to bring the two systems together — helping teams cut down on double entry, speed up dispatch, and deliver a more seamless shipping experience.

Fast setup: most standard installations can be completed and live within 1–2 business days of quote approval, assuming access and Starshipit credentials are available.

What This Integration Does

The ILC Starshipit Integration for Fishbowl runs two automated background processes — sending orders from Fishbowl to Starshipit, and sending shipment details back from Starshipit to Fishbowl:

Fishbowl → Starshipit: when a shipment is packed and ready, the integration creates a corresponding shipment in Starshipit using your Fishbowl shipment/order details — ship-to address, contact information, item-level detail, the Fishbowl Sales Order number, and customer PO number (if set).

Starshipit → Fishbowl: once the shipment is dispatched in Starshipit, the integration syncs the dispatch details back — tracking number, shipping weight, and shipping cost (when available) — and updates the Fishbowl shipment to Shipped.

Optional add-ons round out the workflow inside Fishbowl itself: a Get Rates button on the Sales Order that quotes live Starshipit shipping rates (with your own markup, if configured) and adds them as a line item, and a Flush Pending Ships safety net that keeps shipments moving even if Fishbowl’s login seats are temporarily maxed out.

About the ILC Integration Server

This integration runs on the ILC Integration Server, ILC’s cloud-hosted platform (built on Microsoft Azure) for connecting Fishbowl to outside systems securely — only approved applications can connect. Rather than software installed and maintained on your own server, the integration runs in the cloud, giving every customer a consistent, supportable integration experience: ILC can monitor it, troubleshoot it, and deploy improvements without needing access to your Fishbowl server or any downtime on your end. Microsoft Azure was chosen for its availability, performance, and regional data centers, which keep your data close to home; Azure hosting costs are included in ILC’s pricing.

The ILC Starshipit Integration is offered as a monthly subscription, which can be cancelled at any time. Each subscription includes:

One (1) Starshipit Integration license for one Fishbowl Company / one Fishbowl Database
Installation support
Data mapping support
One (1) hour training session
Software updates to maintain compatibility with supported versions of Fishbowl and Starshipit
