The Detrack integration runs in the background — there’s no button or screen it adds to Fishbowl. Your day-to-day work happens in two places you already use: Fishbowl’s Pick/Ship module, and Detrack itself. The integration’s job is to move the right information between them automatically at each step.

When prompted you’ll need to supply as passcode: @DeTrackFBService

Pick all items for the order from the Pick module as usual. Once everything’s picked, open the shipment in the Ship module and press Pack.

Packing the shipment is what signals the order is ready to be sent to Detrack — the integration checks for orders in this state on its regular schedule. The Carrier set on the shipment determines whether it becomes a Delivery or a Collection in Detrack (see your Admin Guide if you’re not sure which applies to a given carrier).

Step 2: The Integration Sends the Order to Detrack

Section titled “Step 2: The Integration Sends the Order to Detrack”

This step happens automatically — there’s nothing to do here. The integration periodically checks for newly packed orders and creates the corresponding job in Detrack, carrying over:

  • The Ship To (Deliver To) address and contact details
  • Item-level data
  • The Fishbowl Sales Order number and Customer PO number (if set), as references

Once your driver/carrier has delivered or collected the order, complete it in Detrack as you normally would — select the job, record the delivery/collection details, and mark it complete.

You don’t need to do anything else from here to get that information back into Fishbowl.

Step 4: The Integration Closes Out the Shipment in Fishbowl

Section titled “Step 4: The Integration Closes Out the Shipment in Fishbowl”

Also automatic. Once a job is marked complete in Detrack, the integration picks that up on its next scheduled check, and:

  • Writes the tracking number (if available) onto the Fishbowl shipment
  • Marks the shipment as Shipped
  • If an order doesn’t seem to be reaching Detrack, double check it was actually Packed (not just Picked) — that’s the trigger the integration looks for.
  • If a completed Detrack job isn’t reflecting back in Fishbowl, give it a little time — this runs on a periodic schedule rather than instantly.
  • Contact ILC support if something seems stuck longer than expected.
