I’m going out on a limb and say that this is the best Fishbowl Inventory update ever. Earlier this week, I spent some time at Fishbowl’s Open House in Orem, Utah. While there, Fishbowl Inventory Customers, Partners and Guests were given a personal introduction to the latest Software Version. I learned a lot and you can read about the open house itself here.

The Fishbowl Open House

Yesterday I spent the day at the Fishbowl Inventory Headquarters in Orem, Utah. They were hosting an open house event to celebrate the new and exciting improvements in Fishbowl 2015. As a Fishbowl Partner, I always make time to fly out from Southern California to see my friends in the north, and this was a great opportunity to do so.

On my last visit there in June Fishbowl had been in the middle of change in their Technical leadership. This visit I got to see those results. Here is what I’ve learned.

Just Announced: Fishbowl SQL and iReport Courses

Today I am pleased to announce the start dates of a new series of Online Video courses for Fishbowl Inventory customers. We will be offering courses on SQL, iReport, and Fishbowl Inventory Best Practices. Courses are set to start beginning January 2015. For more information please visit our new Courses page. A New Way To Price Freight – Freightview

Last week I was working with two companies with their Fishbowl Inventory Go-Live. These two companies both ship not via UPS or FedEx, but through Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight. Part of what I observed was how long it took these two companies to price shop for Freight Quotes. The staff said it takes about 10-20 minutes for about 5 quotes, either on the phone or online. It had been awhile since I did any research into LTL quoting, but I thought there had to be a better way!
