Why does Fishbowl say "You do not have access to view this Sales Order."?

Fishbowl shows this because the user's group lacks the "AccessOthers" access right in the Sales Order module. This right is required to view or edit sales orders assigned to other users; without it, users can only access their own orders. Enable it in Setup > User Groups, or the restriction is intentional as a control.

What triggers it

The user attempts to view a sales order that is not assigned to them—one owned by a different salesman. Their user group lacks the AccessOthers access right in the Sales Order module. Fishbowl enforces this permission check whenever the order is loaded or viewed.

The fix

Open Setup > User Groups
Select the user’s group
Navigate to the Sales Order module settings
Enable the AccessOthers access right
Save the changes and have the user log out and back in for the change to take effect

If the restriction is intentional—designed to limit certain users to viewing only their own orders—leave the right disabled as a control.

What to check first

Confirm which user group the affected user belongs to (Setup > Users)
Test viewing the same sales order with a user who has AccessOthers enabled to verify this is the issue
