What it means

A transit location represents inventory physically moving between locations. Once designated as in-transit, the location is locked to prevent edits that could create inconsistencies in the active movement. You cannot modify the location itself or its properties while it’s in this state.

What to check

• Whether this location is part of an active shipment, transfer, or purchase order that hasn’t been completed or received yet
• Whether the related shipment or transfer record shows a status that prevents editing (check that transaction’s details)
• If the underlying transaction is marked complete, whether you need to finalize or close it first to release the location
• Whether the location appears in your location list and what status it displays there
