Fishbowl: Customer name too long

What it means

Fishbowl enforces a 41-character maximum on customer names. When you create a new customer or update an existing customer name, the system validates the length. If your entry exceeds 41 characters, this validation error appears and prevents you from saving the record.

What to check

• Count the characters in the customer name, including spaces and punctuation
• If the name exceeds 41 characters, shorten it by removing or abbreviating text
• Try saving or creating the customer record again
