Fishbowl: Customer access denied — missing permission
You do not have access to view this customer.
What triggers it
When you try to view a customer record, Fishbowl checks if your group has the “See All Customers” access right. If your group doesn’t have it, and the customer is assigned to a different salesperson, you see this error.
The fix
- Go to Setup > User Groups.
- Select the group that needs access.
- Click the Customer module.
- Enable “See All Customers”.
- Log out and log back in.
If “See All Customers” is already enabled and you still see the error, the restriction may be intentional. Ask your admin whether this group is meant to see only their own customers.
You don’t have to take our word for it: Fishbowl’s official Access Rights reference lists the See All Customers right under the Customer module.
What to check first
Find your user group (Setup > Users, view your profile). Have a user in a group with “See All Customers” enabled try to view the same customer. If they can view it without error, your group needs the permission enabled. If they also see the error, contact Fishbowl support.
