Build a Fishbowl Receiving Dashboard with AI (Dock & Put-away, Over/Short Receipts)

The Dock & Put-away Dashboard, built live in one chat with ILC MCP.

The receiving dock is where the day’s plan meets reality. Fishbowl knows what’s inbound, but the team on the floor needs it on a screen, not in a report request queue.

In this video I don’t build a report. I ask ILC MCP for the Dock & Put-away Dashboard and it builds it live, against a Fishbowl database, writing the queries itself. No Jasper editor, no paid reporting add-on, no ticket to a consultant.

That’s the point of the dual approach: Fishbowl’s built-in reporting is rigid, and anything custom usually means iReport/Jasper or a third-party tool. Here the AI reads the live data through the MCP and lays the numbers out for you.

The Dock & Put-away Dashboard puts the receiving questions on one screen:

  • Inbound due at the dock today
  • Received but not yet put away
  • Over and short receipts to review
  • Receipts completed today

The demo runs on representative sample data, so nothing here is a real customer’s numbers — but it’s the same build you’d run against your own Fishbowl.
