Build a Fishbowl Inventory Dashboard with AI (On-Hand Value, Low Stock, Negative Qty, Cycle Counts)

The Inventory Health Dashboard, built live in one chat with ILC MCP.

Inventory is the biggest number on the balance sheet and the hardest to feel day to day. Fishbowl holds every part; what’s missing is a health check you can read in ten seconds.

In this video I don’t build a report. I ask ILC MCP for the Inventory Health Dashboard and it builds it live, against a Fishbowl database, writing the queries itself. No Jasper editor, no paid reporting add-on, no ticket to a consultant.

That’s the point of the dual approach: Fishbowl’s built-in reporting is rigid, and anything custom usually means iReport/Jasper or a third-party tool. Here the AI reads the live data through the MCP and lays the numbers out for you.

The Inventory Health Dashboard puts the inventory questions on one screen:

  • On-hand value by location
  • Low stock — at or below reorder point
  • Negative quantities to fix
  • Cycle counts due and their variance

The demo runs on representative sample data, so nothing here is a real customer’s numbers — but it’s the same build you’d run against your own Fishbowl.
