# SFTP & FTP + Fishbowl Integration — Israel Lopez Consulting

> Exchange order, inventory, and product files with trading partners over SFTP or FTP, mapped straight into Fishbowl.

Plenty of trading partners still move data the old reliable way: a file dropped on a server. We connect Fishbowl to your SFTP or FTP feeds so those files turn into real records instead of a manual import someone has to babysit.

Inbound, we pick up order, inventory, and product files as they land and map them straight into Fishbowl. Outbound, we generate the files your partners expect, such as shipment confirmations or stock updates, and push them back on a schedule. We use SFTP wherever it is available, since it keeps the transfer encrypted, and fall back to plain FTP only when a partner requires it.

We handle the parts that usually break: the exact field layout each partner wants, the file naming and folder conventions, character encoding, and what should happen when a file shows up malformed or late. The result is a feed that runs on its own and an error you actually hear about when something is off.

Trading files with a retailer or supplier through a formal EDI network instead? We also handle [SPS Commerce](/integrations/sps-commerce), [TrueCommerce](/integrations/truecommerce), and raw [EDI](/integrations/edi) over X12, EDIFACT, and AS2.
