# Fishbowl: "You do not have access" — missing Sales Order permission

> User's group lacks the AccessOthers access right for Sales Orders, which is required to view other users' orders.

## What triggers it

The user attempts to view a sales order that is not assigned to them—one owned by a different salesman. Their user group lacks the AccessOthers access right in the Sales Order module. Fishbowl enforces this permission check whenever the order is loaded or viewed.

## The fix

1. Open **Setup > User Groups**
2. Select the user's group
3. Navigate to the Sales Order module settings
4. Enable the **AccessOthers** access right
5. Save the changes and have the user log out and back in for the change to take effect

If the restriction is intentional—designed to limit certain users to viewing only their own orders—leave the right disabled as a control.

You don't have to take our word for it: Fishbowl's official [Access Rights reference](https://help.fishbowlinventory.com/advanced/s/Access-Rights#Sales_Order) lists the AccessOthers right under the Sales Order module.

## What to check first

- Confirm which user group the affected user belongs to (Setup > Users)
- Test viewing the same sales order with a user who has AccessOthers enabled to verify this is the issue
- Verify whether the restriction is intentional; confirm with management or the administrator before enabling the right
