# Fishbowl: "QuickBooks can only handle 5 levels of Classes"

> QuickBooks rejects class hierarchies deeper than 5 nesting levels during sync.

## What it means
QuickBooks has a hard limit on how deeply classes can nest. You have a class structure in Fishbowl where a class has a child, which has a child, and so on—more than 5 levels deep. When Fishbowl tried to sync this to QuickBooks, QB rejected it because of the depth limit.

## What to check
- Review your Fishbowl class structure and count the nesting levels (Parent → Child → Grandchild, etc.). If any branch exceeds 5, consolidate by moving some classes to sibling level or merging them.
- Confirm which account type or class group triggered the error—only those deeper than 5 need flattening.
- This limit applies to QuickBooks only; Fishbowl itself has no such restriction.
