# Fishbowl: "Could not connect to QuickBooks Online."

> Fishbowl cannot reach your QuickBooks Online account when trying to sync.

## What it means
Fishbowl tried to access your QuickBooks Online account during synchronization but failed to establish a connection. This usually happens when your OAuth token or authentication credentials have expired, QBO's service is temporarily unavailable, or Fishbowl lost authorization to access your account. Network issues on either your connection or Fishbowl's end can also cause this.

## What to check
- Whether your QuickBooks Online connection credentials or token are still valid (tokens can expire without notice)
- Whether you can access QuickBooks Online directly in a web browser to confirm QBO is online
- Whether Fishbowl still has authorization to access QBO (review connected apps in your QBO settings)
- Whether your network connection is working and you can reach other cloud services
