# Fishbowl: Cannot delete drop-ship purchase order

> A purchase order created for a drop ship sales order cannot be deleted while the sales order is issued.

## What it means

Drop ship POs are linked to the sales order that created them. Fishbowl prevents deletion to avoid breaking the relationship between the customer order and the supplier order.

## What to check

- Locate the Sales Order that generated this PO (typically linked in the PO record)
- Verify that Sales Order is currently issued
- Unissue the Sales Order to release this PO for deletion
- Then return to the PO and delete it
