# Fishbowl: "Currency settings don't match QuickBooks"

> Fishbowl has multi-currency enabled while QuickBooks doesn't, blocking accounting sync.

## What it means

Fishbowl has multi-currency support enabled, but QuickBooks doesn't. When one system tracks multiple currencies and the other doesn't, the sync can't complete because the two systems disagree about what currency each transaction is in.

## What to check

- Confirm whether you actually use multiple currencies in your business (invoices, payments, or purchase orders in different currencies).
- Check your QuickBooks settings to see if multi-currency is available for your edition and whether it's currently enabled.
- If you don't need multiple currencies, disable it in Fishbowl to match QuickBooks. If you do need it, enable it in QuickBooks before syncing again.
